Meeting on data management

On Monday 26th June, a group of MAESTRIA consortium partners involved in data management compared notes in a web-meeting.

The participants were representatives from the study management teams at AFNET and Cardialysis, the core labs for ECG, Echo, CT, and MRI, the AI and statistics teams and others. They each gave a short overview of their scopes and discussed the progress on data handling since the start of patient enrolment in March 2023.

22 participants from 5 countries (Germany, Spain, France, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom) met via Zoom to discuss the progress on data handling since the start of patient enrolment in March 2023. The main objective of the meeting was to better understand what the core labs and the AI partners can do with the data collected in the MAESTRIA – AFNET 10 registry.

The meeting was moderated by Prof. Andreas Goette, principal investigator of MAESTRIA – AFNET 10.

Participants included members of:

  • ECG core lab (Maastricht University, The Netherlands)
  • Yourrhythmics (Maastricht, The Netherlands)
  • Echo core lab (St. Antoine Hospital, AP-HP, Paris)
  • CT core lab (University of Oxford, UK)
  • MRI core lab (LBI, Sorbonne Université, Paris)
  • MAESTRIA Coordinator team (Sorbonne Université, Paris)
  • Artificial Intelligence team (IHU-ICAN, Paris)
  • Preventicus (Jena, Germany)
  • IDOVEN (Madrid, Spain)
  • AFNET (Muenster, Germany)

Prof. Goette commented: “The use of artificial intelligence in the field of atrial fibrillation research is an important milestone. We are very excited about the results of the international registry."

A follow-up meeting on data management is planned after the summer break.
