Annual meeting of the MAESTRIA consortium

Around 70 participants attended the annual MAESTRIA consortium meeting in Madrid on 16th and 17th October. In the two-day meeting the achievements of the ongoing MAESTRIA project were presented and discussed.

The meeting was performed as a hybrid event. In addition to the on-site presentations, a couple of talks were given remotely and all sessions could be followed through live stream.

The plenary sessions of the first day focused on the work packages of the MAESTRIA project. Scientists of the particular work packages presented their research and latest achievements.

On the second day, Prof. Andreas Götte presented the updates on the MAESTRIA work package WP4. He explicated the current status of the MAESTRIA – AFNET 10 prospective cohort.

The meeting also included presentations given by representatives of the core labs involved in the MAESTRIA work package WP4: ECG, Echo, CT scans, and MRI. The MRI core lab could not present any results since no MRIs have been collected for the study yet.

After those updates the participants had discussions about data management and data processing (digital twin), key part of the project. The following session afforded exchange with the Scientific Advisory Board on the progress and the main challenges of MAESTRIA. In the final plenary the business plan about the demonstrator was presented and discussed.
